Each year, M.O.S.T. proudly identifies up to ten rising 9th graders from our Partner Schools to receive the M.O.S.T. McDonnell Scholarship. On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, twenty-two M.O.S.T. Scholars, from ten area private high schools, celebrated their graduations at our annual M.O.S.T. Senior Reception. The event brought together donors, supporters, and the families to honor the hard work and achievements of these exceptional students.

Cameron is graduating from ! During his time there, he played basketball, ran track, and earned a black belt in karate. He’s been accepted to U of M and MTSU—and this fall, he’ll be attending to study architecture. Let’s go, Cameron!

Victoria made waves at ! She earned Magna Cum Laude honors in both 2024 and 2025 and was deeply involved—serving as President of the Hispanic Student Organization, joining the National Spanish Honors Society, National Beta Club, Spanish Club, softball team, and acting as a Student Ambassador. She’s been accepted to U of M, Arizona State, Lipscomb, Mississippi State University, Universityof Mississippi, UT Martin, University of Central Arkansas, and University of North Alabama. This fall, she’s headed to to major in Health Studies on the Pre-Optometry track!

Hellen made the most of her time at ! A Full IB student, she was involved in soccer, track, Pom, and even served as a club president. Her hard work paid off—she was accepted to LSU, Xavier, Alabama State, Arkansas State, Tuskegee, U of M, Mesa College, and UT Chattanooga. This fall, Hellen will be heading to !

Omar has definitely left his mark at ! As President of the Health Disparity Club, he organized blood drives, raised $4,000 for breast cancer, and hosted impactful guest speakers. He also led the Green Memphis Club, coordinated campus recycling, and helped build the school’s first student-run garden. On top of that, Omar completed an internship at McLaren Healthcare Clinic—recording vitals, organizing files, and learning medical procedures firsthand. He’s been accepted to Washington University in St. Louis and Vanderbilt, and this fall, he’ll be attending ! Keep shining, Omar!

From winning the 2025 Mid-South Scholastic Art Award to being a 12-year Girl Scout, Honor Roll student, and Bridge Builders member—she did it all. Accepted to multiple schools, Tailyr has chosen , where she’ll be studying Dentistry this fall! Way to go Tailyr!

Danna’s been accepted to several universities, including U of M, UT Chatt, UT Martin, and more—but this fall, she’s heading to the on a scholarship to study Nursing! We’re so proud of you Danna!

Karla Ochoa is graduating from , where she excelled as a School Ambassador, Mu Alpha Theta and NEHS member, and National French Exam Bronze Recipient. She played lacrosse, was active in multiple honor societies, and is even working on a passion project exploring eco-friendly oil spill solutions! Karla has been accepted to U of M, MTSU, and UT Chattanooga—and she’s chosen to attend the University of Memphis this fall! We’re so proud of you, Karla!!
