๐ฟ Most people grow peppermint and stop there.
But mint is a whole family of plants, and each one brings something different to the table.
Lemon balm.
Catnip.
Spearmint.
Peppermint.
Chocolate mint.
Apple mint.
They all have their place in the garden, the kitchen, and the home apothecary.
A handful of leaves can become a refreshing tea, a cooling summer drink, a fruit salad garnish, a syrup, a mocktail, or part of your herbal preparations. That's why I encourage students to stop seeing herbs as ingredients and start seeing them as tools.
When you understand a plant's qualities, you begin to recognize where it fits in everyday life.
The best herbal gardens aren't filled with exotic plants you've never used, they're filled with herbs your family reaches for again and again.
