The Alliance hosted a book signing at Novel Bookstore with Theresa Levitt, professor at Ol'Miss. She gave us some insights on the writing of her book about the perfume industry in France, and then signed books for Alliance members. Then we shared a wonderful bûche de Noël, accompanied by wine from the bookstore bat. It was a great Christmas gathering for the Alliance!

Pictures from the Bastille Day Event

A group of Alliance Française de Memphis members enjoyed a movie night this evening. We watched the new Downton Abbey movie (the "Frenchest" thing being shown here), after enjoying some wine and camaraderie in the lobby beforehand. The photo shows only a few of us; more came later.

After a long hiatus, Alliance Francçaise de Memphis members enjoyed the "Poisson d'avril" get-together on April 1st. Delicious food, a fun quiz, a wine raffle, and the presentation of the Reginald Dalle award to an outstanding student of French.

Alliance Française de Memphis had a very enjoyable tasting of French liqueurs this evening. Well attended, and we all learned something about these digestifs.

On July 14, 2021, the Alliance hosted a Bastille Day picnic at Shelby Farms Park. About 40 members enjoyed seeing friends in person again!

Looking forward to tonight's Zoom discussion of three French short films!
