This is truly the most wonderful time of the year in our Upper School! Welcoming our freshman at FSO is a fun and exciting overnight experience led by our senior peer mentors. The Class of 2024 chose the theme "Stars in Hollywood" for the event and they have put in countless hours preparing. And just like that . . . another summer is in the books! Our last week of camp was filled with Prep Classes for PK, JK, K (boys) and 1st grade (boys), Sew it All and Fashion Design Camps, Trash to Treasures Art Camp, Volleyball Camp and Chess Camp.

When we asked SAA Upper School science teacher David Tran to share his excitement about the school's Go Light the World campaign and the investment in a new STEM facility for our SAA and SDS students, he shared: "I am excited to have new space that will compliment our top tier science and biomedical programs. The STEM Labs will allow our students to develop and test new ideas for our stem teams, and to experience college-level facilities in the high school setting."

Welcome to our week six Summer Camp Wrap-Up! Day Campers had a busy week while other campers enjoyed Frozen Ballet, Encanto Ballet, Spanish Animal Camp, Boys, Boys,Boys! and Kick It Into Kindergarten (girls). We also hosted 81 students from around the city for Camp Invention, with 6 teachers and 25 junior high and high school assistants! There’s only one week of summer camp fun left! Can you believe it?
⭐ GO STARS! ⭐ Our JV and Varsity volleyball teams attended the Munciana/K2 Volleyball Team Camp this week in Knoxville. This camp is known for hosting high quality competition from the region and providing outstanding skills training.

They're off! Our Upper School students participating in the Costa Rican Cultural Exchange Program arrived in San Jose Tuesday afternoon. For the next two weeks they will be truly immersed into Costa Rican culture by staying with host families and attending La Salle Colegio.
The Costa Rican trip is the culmination of this annual exchange program. Each spring our SAA families host students from LaSalle Collegio, and in return their families host our girls each summer. This partnership is 9 years strong and still growing!
Rising St. Agnes senior Anna Osias has been named to the Dexter Bowling High School All-American Team! It’s time once again for a Saturday Summer Camp Wrap-Up! In addition to our Day Camp, week five campers enjoyed Annie Kids Musical Theatre, Space Camp, Robotics with VEX IQ, Spanish Music Camp, American Girl Camp, and Girls Rock! It’s hard to believe there are only two more weeks of camps!
Yesterday our Lower School Learning Specialists attended the Structured Literacy Institute at Bodine. They spent the day listening to speakers who shared their knowledge around intervention vs prevention, small group instruction and differentiation, morphology, and speech and language progression.
