Please join us in celebrating Amy Ware, our Assistant Vice President of External Relations and Career Services, for her longstanding leadership of CBU's NICE Program. Amy created NICE 10 years ago to connect 20-25 CBU students annually with fully funded summer internships at local nonprofits. NICE internships, through the support of a generous donor, help to fill the gap between students seeking real-world experience and wanting to serve the community, but who have financial needs that prevent them from taking unpaid roles, and area nonprofits with limited staff and budgets who need additional help but cannot afford to hire more staff or pay interns. Selected students work a total of 160 hours during June and July and receive a bi-weekly stipend. Interested students can apply for the Summer 2026 cohort via Handshake. Applications will close on March 13.

UPDATE: Mentor found - thank you!
CBU alumni, we have two first gen students who are seeking mentors. This would be a 1-2 hour/month commitment until the end of the school year. You can meet virtually or by phone and will receive discussion prompts/example questions each month. If you are interested in serving as a mentor to one of the students below, please email [email protected]
- Freshman Business Administration: International Business major who is unsure what he might want to do after graduation. Possible interests include owning a business and clothing/creating designs for fun.
- Sophomore Computer Science major whose interests include fintech, cybersecurity, combining computer science and business, bioinformatics, and finance. Considering grad school in the future. Prefers a mentor in cybersecurity or finance.
