Job Description
Report to: Frayser CDC Board of Directors
Supervised and evaluated by: Frayser CDC Board Chairperson/ Board of Directors
Purpose of Position: Chief Administrative Officer for Frayser CDC responsible for oversight of
all FCDC programs, funding, and daily operations.
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Compensation- Full-time pay shall be in the range of $70,000-$85,000 with benefits to be
determined.
Duties:
Financial Planning & Oversight- Oversee all financial activities (grants/ donations for
preparation, implementation, reporting, and fulfillment of all funds). Assist the
Business/Financial Director and the Finance Committee in reviewing monthly financial
statements, developing the annual budget, and maintaining the financial health of the
organization.
Fund Development- Assist with grant search and grant writing. Work with the Frayser CDC
Board to secure sufficient funding to support the organization’s programs.
Fund Compliance- Work with the Business/ Financial Director to ensure bills are collected and
paid in a timely manner, and records are kept in accordance with the requirements of various
funders. Ensure that reports are prepared and submitted in a timely way.
Program Administration- Manage the productive of organization’s programs including housing,
commercial development, rental properties, vacancy lots, homebuyer education, and the Frayser
Connect Center. Ensure program’s accountability and its support of FCDC’s Goals and
Objectives.
Board Development & Communication- Provide the FCDC Board of Directors with adequate
and timely information as it concerns the organization’s existence. Look for training
opportunities needed for making informed decisions. Attend the board committee meetings as
needed.
Housing- Oversee and keep acquit records of all renovation, sale, and rental of housing and
commercial development.
Chief of Staff- Maintain the ability to conduct performance evaluations as needed, especially
once a year. Be responsible for the hiring, supervising, and firing of the staff members.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in business administration and/or equivalent to a
minimum of 7 years of experience in two of the following areas: housing development, business
leadership, and/or non-profit management.
Requirements: strong leadership with a vision to carry out the organization’s mission statement,
good writing skills, ability to communicate effectively with staff and community members, able
to demonstrate inclusion and diversity within the community, good leadership values with
managing staff and board members, and assist with team-building opportunity.
