🎉🏆 CELEBRATING STEM EXCELLENCE AT JOURNEY EAST ACADEMY! 🏆🎉

Journey East Academy is proud to announce that we were recognized at the 2026 Memphis & Shelby County STEM Celebration and Check Presentation hosted by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW)!

💙💛 Our school was awarded a $5,000 STEM Grant in support of innovative learning experiences that empower our scholars through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners who continue to help us build a culture of creativity, innovation, and academic excellence.

A special congratulations to Sophia Hardy-James, Computer Science Teacher, for her leadership, commitment, and passion for advancing STEM education at Journey East Academy. 👏🏾💻🚀

Together, we are inspiring young minds, fostering innovation, and preparing our scholars for the future!

Last day of school fun was in full effect for our middle school scholars! 🎉🛍️

Our scholars had the opportunity to spend their hard-earned school store money, and let’s just say…they came READY with their bags! 😄 Some scholars had close to $4,000 to spend — that’s right, GREAT behavior pays off! 💰👏🏽

We are so proud of the positive choices, hard work, and growth our scholars displayed throughout the year. Thank you, scholars, for making this year amazing! ❤️

As we close the books on another amazing year, our teammates were able to celebrate together with a special dinner at Char. 🍽️❤️

One of the highlights of the evening was announcing our yearly Superlatives — so much excitement, laughter, and joy filled the room! 🎉🏆

You won’t believe what happened today at Journey East Academy! 🚨

The Board of Health showed up at our school… and it was packed with renowned physicians from all over Memphis! 👩🏽‍⚕️👨🏾‍⚕️

We had podiatrists, psychiatrists, cardiologists, researchers, and more all gathered together for an important board meeting. They discussed their areas of expertise, collaborated like true professionals, and even left us with sample bags of goodies — just like any great physician would do!

Today was our Annual Kindergarten Ball, and our little stars showed up dressed to perfection! 💫 From sparkling smiles to stylish outfits, the room was filled with elegance, joy, and unforgettable moments.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we are reminded of how much our Kindergarteners have grown throughout their very first formal year in school. 📚❤️ What a beautiful journey of learning, friendship, creativity, and discovery it has been!
