🎶💙💛 **COUGAR BAND ON THE RISE!** 💛💙🎶

We are SO excited to showcase our **phenomenal Journey East Academy Band!** 🐾🎺🥁

This weekend, **over 40 of our band members** gave up part of their Saturday to participate in an intense training experience with the **Raleigh-Egypt Pharaoh Band!** Our middle school scholars sharpened their musical and performance skills and even had the opportunity to participate in the **halftime football game experience!** 🏈🎶

These young musicians are putting in the WORK, and they are well on their way to becoming **top-notch performers!** 🌟

A huge thank you to our Band Director, **Mr. Javon Hurt**, for creating rich, authentic experiences that expose our scholars to what is possible when talent meets hard work, discipline, and dedication.

🔥 **Only 4 weeks in, and LOOK AT US! We are just getting started!**

Our **Lady Cougars came out STRONG** in their volleyball game against MMA! Although we didn’t walk away with the win, we walked away with **more skill, more experience, and our heads held high!** 💪🏽🐾

We are SO proud of these young ladies! Each game, they continue to learn, grow, and show what it means to represent **Journey East Academy** with pride. The future is BRIGHT for our Lady Cougars! 🌟🏐

💙💛🐾 A DAY FIT FOR OUR COUGAR LEADERS! 🐾💛💙

Today, we celebrated one of our favorite traditions—our Annual Jacket Ceremony! 🎉

We proudly showcased our 2 Students of the Year and 4 Student Ambassadors, recognizing these outstanding scholars for their excellence, leadership, character, and commitment to representing Journey East Academy! 🌟

The celebration was filled with music, clapping, cheering, proud smiles, and LOTS of pictures! 📸🎶👏🏾 But the excitement didn’t stop there…

Our honorees ended their special day in true VIP style, riding off with our organization leaders in a STRETCH LIMO! 🚘✨ Talk about a moment to remember! They had an absolute BALL, and seeing the joy on their faces made the celebration even more special.

To our Students of the Year and Ambassadors: We are SO proud of you! Wear those jackets with pride and remember that leadership is not just about the title—it’s about the example you set every single day.

We are looking forward to watching you LEAD, SERVE, and SHINE throughout this school year! 💙💛

💙💛 2 BUILDINGS. 1 MISSION. ONE COUGAR FAMILY! 💛💙

What an amazing evening at Journey East Academy K-8! 🐾🔥

We kicked things off with our Annual Title I Meeting—and because we are GROWING, we had to make room for everybody! 🙌🏾 We hosted one meeting in the morning and two meetings in the evening, happening simultaneously across both buildings!

That’s right… 2 Buildings. 1 Mission. ONE EAST! 💙💛

Then we rolled right into Meet the Teacher Night, and our families were excited to get into classrooms, meet their scholars’ teachers, ask questions, and see where all the learning and magic happens! 📚✏️🍎

And of course… we fed everybody! 😋 Because at East, when our Cougar Family comes together, we make sure you leave informed, connected, AND fed! 😂💙

To our families—THANK YOU for showing up, spending time with us, partnering with our teachers, and continuing to support our growing school community. Your presence matters, and we appreciate you!

🎶✨ The future of our band is shining BRIGHT! ✨🎶

We are so excited to see the beginnings of what we know will be a stellar band for years to come! 🌟

Our first-year band students are already showing incredible enthusiasm, dedication, and talent. With more than 75 members, this group is off to an amazing start, and we can’t wait to watch their confidence, musicianship, and love of music continue to grow.

🏐💙 **So proud of our Lady Cougars!** 💙🏐

Our Lady Cougars played their **very first games** today! They came out strong and **won Game 1**! 🎉 We lost the last two, but we could not be more proud of these young ladies.

For many of them, this is their **first time playing volleyball AND their first time playing in a real gym**, and they did such an amazing job! They showed heart, worked together, and kept pushing and learning with every game. 💪🏐

They are gaining new skills and confidence each day, and we can already tell this is going to be a **GREAT season!** We are so excited to watch them grow!

Keep working hard, ladies—we are SO proud of you! 💙
