At FCBE, we pride ourselves on connecting our business students directly with seasoned industry professionals. At our last "What It Takes" Speaker Series, we welcomed three successful alumni, Brad Phillips, Cathy Ross and Mowbray Rowand. They shared keen insights from their own experiences and provided tips for how our students can best prepare for the next steps in their careers. The panel discussion was moderated by Dean Bobby Garrett.

Some key take-aways:
- Say yes to opportunities!
- Get comfortable with the uncomfortable.
- Build a trusted professional sounding board.
- Prepare for an interview by pretending you are the interviewer – not the interviewee.
- Realize that sometimes you have to be willing to take a step back to move forward.
- Don’t be afraid to change!

We extend our sincerest thanks to our distinguished panelists and to all students who attended! We are already planning for fall 2024. Make sure to keep an eye out for forthcoming details! You won’t want to miss it.
