Riverview Families, students in Grades 3–8 will participate in District-Wide CFA Testing Tuesday, September 1 through Friday, September 4.

Students will be assessed in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writing to measure their mastery of standards taught during the first four weeks of school.

🎯 Our goal is 100% participation! Please help us by ensuring your Viking is present and on time EVERY DAY this week and ready to do their best.

🎉 There’s a little extra motivation! If Riverview reaches at least 98% participation on the CFA, our 3rd–8th grade students will celebrate with a Fun Friday Dance!

Parents, we need your help……attendance matters, and every Viking counts!

We’re excited to welcome our students and staff back on Tuesday, August 25!

Most MSCS schools and offices will reopen and operate on their regular schedules while some will remain closed due to ongoing power restoration efforts.

If conditions change and an impacted school is ready to safely reopen, families and staff will be notified directly by the school and/or District. If your school is not listed on the graphic, we look forward to seeing you Tuesday morning! Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility.

Teaching is HEART work … but we also know it is really HARD work! Sometimes, a few intentional words of encouragement are exactly what our educators need to keep showing up, pouring in, and giving their very best.

A huge SHOUT OUT to our iZone Instructional Leaders who visited Riverview and left behind little gems of encouragement, motivation, and inspiration for our Principal and teachers. What an awesome way to remind our educators that their hard work is seen, valued, and appreciated!

Due to widespread power outages, all MSCS schools and district offices will be closed Monday, August 24.

As we work alongside MLGW and local officials, more than 70,000 customers remain without power across our community. Within MSCS, more than 30 outages continue to impact over 40 schools and administrative buildings across the District.

Power restoration is only part of our assessment. Teams are also evaluating HVAC and critical building systems, traffic routes, and overall school readiness.

Y-Care, after-school activities, athletic events, meetings, and other scheduled activities are canceled. Rescheduling updates will follow.

Central Office and Facilities employees will receive separate communication regarding work and reporting expectations for Monday.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility.
