Re: Picnic 2024 Props to Linwood and Odessa Johnson

Hi Class of 1970. We did pretty good in two wks. But, honestly, we couldn't survive the picnic without Linwood and Odessa Johnson. For those who have attended the picnic, you have witnessed how much they contribute. This describes what they do as a team. Prepping, making space in their fridge to keep the meats cold, washing & seasoning, pulling and cleaning that big old grill and then all the grilling, setting up our spot with their equipment (chafing dishes, tables, chairs, table clothes, ice/ice chests, tents, music. Just a lotttt!!!!!This year Linwood made some slamming slaw! Don't know how he does all this and he still works full time!! Thanks again for their hard work and for always supporting the picnic with a great attitude👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.

Geraline has participated in several of our SSHS70 events including our 70th Birthday Celebration. Please incline your hearts in prayer for Geraline and the Rixter family.

David ‘Spiderman Boyd’ keeps making progress.This report deserves an A+. David passed the swallowing test. He is getting stronger day by day and is on to having water, liquids, and puréed food. David knows WHO he is and WHOSE he is. David is truly a living testimony. We thank you God that he is still alive. Keep praying and keep praying for one another. Andre much thanks to you also.

Good Evening Classmates! Here's an update on David "Spiderman" Boyd's progress from Andre Johnson:

Spiderman is getting better and better. He's up walking and trying to eat solid food. His speech is coming along one day at a time. We're grateful for the progress David has made but our prayers can't stop there. Thanks to everyone for your prayers.

I received this latest update on our classmate and friend, David 'Spiderman' Boyd. Andre spoke to him on yesterday. Conversation: David: "Don't worry about me". Andre: I am not worried about you, we are praying for you".
