The Work We Do And The Impact God Allows Us To Make Just Doesn’t Stop!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Last week, although our “Summer Learning, Summer Fun” experience had ended, we gathered a group of pre-teen and teenage girls for a week of empowerment, fun, fellowship, and faith lessons. We went in a college tour, ate out, walked downtown, laughed, enjoyed a scavenger hunt, had daily devotion, learned to knit, dance, and more. It was great!! And our young men went to the Persuaders Camp for Boys hosted by Mr. John Payne where they also received empowerment, gained life skills, and experience in production, music, etc.

We are thankful for the time we got to pour into these middle and Highschool students in a special way. May it impact their lives in a positive way forever!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLPS 2023 GRADUATES and all students who were promoted to the next grade!! 🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽What a wonderful, inspiring, and touching celebration we had. Thank you to our Keynote Speaker, Evangelist Eleanor Terry, for making sure we “Understand our ABC’s (Attitude, Behavior, Character)!” Great message!! We also thank Mrs Andria Terry as well as the CL Dancers+ Choir for their ministry in dance and song. Elementary students recited several scriptures, poems, and affirmations. Middle and highschool students helped lead the ceremony with the welcome, prayer, pledges, and poem. We appreciate our very own Ms. Joyce for the planning and decoration of this special occasion. Thank God for all that was accomplished this year!!

WHAT AN EXCITING DAY!! 🎉 We are so proud of our students, the emerging writers and authors of their generation, who showcased their newly released BOOKS at our very 1st Memphis Children Writer’s Consortium!!! Yes! Each K-12 student wrote a book ! ✍🏾📚 There was inspiration, motivation, and a wonderful, engaging keynote presentation from the writing extraordinaire, Author Alison Woods of Irving Texas. Each student read an excerpt from their book and were celebrated by classmates, teachers, parents, board members, and CLPS supporters! We also heard from two creative and inspirational authors, Ms Andrea Hardaway and Ms RaKesha Gray who spoke about how they got started writing and why they wrote their books! Our students, the newest authors in the making, enjoyed a red carpet experience by taking nice photos and answering questions from our Roving Reporter Mrs Lakeisha Smith. In the end, students sang “I am a Promise!” in celebration of their achievement, and proudly wore their WINNER medallions!! 🏅🏅🏅🥇🥇

Thanks to Dr. Bibbs and Ms. Joyce for the book writing project and writer’s consortium idea that has expanded students’ creativity and inspired them about future possibilities!!

CLPS Student Writers, remember this: you were born to WIN; you were made to be AWESOME!! So, do something awesome, even if it’s writing and publishing a book. Keep writing and trusting God to use your writing to take you far!!

The Memphis Children Writer’s Consortium will feature and celebrate students from our school who have completed a recent book writing project. We are so excited to celebrate them and also hear from local and national published authors who will share their stories and inspire our students about writing books! It will be a GRAND occasion. 🎉

With the help of God, we produce students who are equipped and excited to SERVE. This is a throwback picture from a high school service project quite a few years ago, but to this day, we continue to instill an attitude of service in our students.

Register your child by August 6, 2021 if you want them to be in such an environment. We start school August 16, 2021.

Any student at our school should be able to quote Jeremiah 29:11. It’s a message of hope we encourage them to live by.

Allow the YOUTH in your life to get involved in a school that will help them FOLLOW THE PLAN God has for them.
