District leaders have been closely monitoring the weather forecast today. Because the latest weather models are calling for 1-3 inches of snow, frigid temperatures and low visibility during the morning commute, the decision has been made to close all SCS schools tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2018. We hope that by making the decision tonight, employees and families have more time to make the necessary childcare arrangements, if necessary. All school-based employees should not report to work in the morning, however, central office and non-school employees will be notified early morning.

As you know, today was the scheduled day for report cards to be sent home with all students. However, several schools experienced some difficulties and were not be able to send report cards home as planned. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working to resolve the issues so that report cards can be sent home as soon as possible. In the meantime, all parents have access to the PowerSchool parent portal, where you can view all of your child’s grades online. You can access the portal from the main menu of our District website, www.scsk12.org. We appreciate your patience.
