Year 9 is officially underway! This weekend, our TGL Site Coordinators came together to get aligned, sharpen their plans, and prepare to lead with purpose at schools across Memphis.

As we begin our Road to TGL 10, we’re not just starting another school year, we’re heading toward 10 years of impact in June 2027. Ten years of showing up for boys. Ten years of mentoring. Ten years of creating opportunities, building belonging, and helping young men see what’s possible.

Year 5 at University High School!

Last year, our UHS Gents set the bar across the entire TGL network, finishing with the strongest GPA in the network and ZERO behavioral infractions all year.

Last year, we celebrated a major milestone as our very first class of TGL Gents graduated from high school. This year, we’re ready to celebrate Class #2 and continue building on what we started.

The Gentlemen’s League is excited to return to Leadership Preparatory Charter School, serving 7th & 8th grade Gents for the 2026–2027 school year!

Our first year together gave us plenty to build on:
📚 60 Gents served, our largest school site
📈 13.2% increase in average GPA

Year 1 laid the foundation. Year 2 is about taking the impact to the next level.

Year 1 laid the foundation. Now it’s time to build. 🔥

Last year, our 39 Gents at KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle saw:

📉 23.1% decrease in average absences
📉 18.2% decrease in behavior infractions
📈 5% increase in average GPA

We’re excited to return to KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle for Year 2 and continue building on the progress we started together.

Our partnership with Journey Community Schools is off to a promising start. We have strong momentum established across both campuses (Journey East Academy and Journey Coleman Academy), and we are excited to build on it as we enter year 2 of our partnership.

The Gentlemen’s League arrived to Memphis in 2015 at one school, Bellevue Middle School! We are excited to be returning to our founding school for the 12th year.

We're excited to officially welcome Freedom Prep Academy - Memphis Millbranch and Schools of Perea 1 to The Gentlemen's League family for the 2026–2027 school year!

Both schools started their partnership through participation in the Elementary Basketball League, and we are excited that they will now also participate in our school-based mentoring program and more.

Every new partnership means more young men reached, more mentors engaged, and more opportunities to build leaders who are truly Built Different.

Here's to a year of impact.
