Little Bears will be closed tomorrow since we go by the Bartlett’s City Schools snow plan.

UPDATE: While many streets in Bartlett are clear, some areas remain hazardous due to lingering ice. Additionally, not all of our campuses are free from ice, creating safety concerns. With extremely low temperatures expected and the potential for roads and campuses to refreeze, all Bartlett City Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 20th.

BCS will be using an inclement weather day to ensure the safety of our students and staff. As we continue to monitor the weather situation, please visit our official BCS website, Facebook or X (twitter) platforms for additional updates.

Bartlett City Schools (BCS) will be CLOSED on Wednesday, February 19th due to the forecasted Winter Storm Warning for our area. BCS will be using an inclement weather day to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Tennessee's first Safe Haven Baby Box coming to Knoxville fire station The Safe Haven law allows mothers to legally surrender an unharmed newborn within two weeks of birth, under complete confidentiality.

It came to my attention that we do not have a Safe Haven Box in Bartlett or Shelby Co. where mothers can safely surrender their babies with no questions asked and no judgment. Little Bears is currently in discussions with the Bartlett Fire department to try and make this happen in our community. I will be posting the information soon to donate directly to this fund at Little Bears Preschool.

NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL ALERT!!!
On Wednesday Feb 5th the new signal at US 70 and Union Depot will be turned on in flash mode for one week. It will flash yellow for US 70 and red for Union Depot Drive.
On the following Wednesday, Feb 12th, the signal will become fully operational.
Bartlett Police will also post messages boards at the intersection to remind drivers of the new traffic control device.

Please be safe this might cause traffic to back up in front of the school.

Bartlett City Schools will be closed tomorrow due to the up coming weather. Little Bears follows Bartlett City schools closings for weather.

Please send your can Vegetable by Thursday. We may have to have our “Friendship soup” for Thursday lunch if it snows Friday.
