Congratulations, Melissa!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate BTW Senior, Melissa Perez, who was awarded a $1,000 scholarship through the DDS (Determined to be a Doctor Someday) program! 🩺🎓

Through this opportunity, Melissa participated in medical simulations, gained hands-on experience, and connected with professionals in the medical field, all while continuing to explore her dream of becoming a doctor.

We are so proud of Melissa for representing Booker T. Washington High School and taking advantage of opportunities that support her future goals.

Congratulations, Melissa! Your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see where your journey takes you! 💚💛

Warrior Family, we are BACK tomorrow, and so is the Burger Bar! 💚💛🍔

We’re excited to welcome our scholars back to campus, and thanks to Turner Empowerment Initiatives and Checkers/Rally’s, we’ll also get to enjoy the Peace, Purpose & Unity Burger Bar tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.

After the last few days, this feels like the perfect way to return: good food, good energy, and a little extra love for our students and staff the BTWay!

See you tomorrow, Warriors. We’re ready!

Well… looks like the Warrior Family gets one more day at home. 💚💛

MSCS has announced that all schools and district offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, August 24, due to widespread power outages across our community.

That also means our Checkers/Rally’s Burger Bar will be postponed, but don’t worry, we’re not canceling a good thing. 🍔 We’ll share the new date as soon as it’s confirmed.

For now, take care of yourselves, check on your people, and stay safe.

BTW will be ready when it’s time to come back.
