It’s Loosen Up Lighten Up Day🤩! CBU students used to enjoy playing games during The Buc Olympics in the 1990s. Take some inspiration and play some tug-o-war or stay in and mediate. Either way, find a way to relax and enjoy today! Find more ways to lighten up with the Br. I Leo O’Donnell Archives at digitalcollections.cbu.edu this
In honor of World Pianist Day tomorrow, we’re sharing an image of Brother Vincent Malham playing during the first performance held in Christian Brothers University’s renovated Theater! More musical memories can be found with the Br. I Leo O’Donnell Archives at digitalcollections.cbu.edu. Happy pianists!🎼
Happy Halloween! It’s a spooky day for ! Unless Freshmen beat the Sophomores in a touch football game, Freshman had to dress up in red derby hats until Halloween. You can see other photos of Freshmen in derby hats with the Br. I Leo O’Donnell Archives at digitalcollections.cbu.edu. Just search “derby” or “Halloween” or stop by the library to see the hat in person! 👻🏈👻
It’s National Kangaroo Awareness Day and that means BIG HOPS! During CBC Field Day in 1910, E. Gibson won the senior pole vault. While we don’t know how high Gibson vaulted, the record in 1910 was 3.93m (12ft 10.5in). That’s over the 10ft a kangaroo can jump straight up 🦘 For more (human) athletic feats, check out the Br.
