Today’s LOC Standout is Methembe Moyo, a Junior Computer Science major with a concentration in Cyber Security from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Methembe loves playing soccer, rock climbing and boxing. On campus, he’s a Math and Computer Science tutor at the Student retention center and loves making friends and sharing about new technologies. He is also a campus ambassador for Blacks in Cyber and organizes meetups and events for the tech organization. This past summer, Methembe interned with Mailchimp at their headquarters in Atlanta with their Marketing Analytics team. After graduation, his goal is to be the best cybersecurity consultant and android developer.

Here at the LeMoyne-Owen College Office of Academic and Student Affaires we like to celebrate our Magician family. Today’s LOC Student Standout is Elisha Jewell, a Senior Music major from Laurel, Delaware. Recently Ms. Jewell was selected by the Winterthur University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, in partnership with the HBCU Library Alliance to receive a fully-funded, eight-week summer internship in library and archival preservation. Ms. Jewell spent her summer at Harvard University’s Weissman Preservation Center, receiving instruction and hands-on experience from industry experts. Congratulations Elisha!
