Presbyterian Day School Presbyterian Day School (PDS) is a private, Christian preschool and elementary school serving boys from 2-years-old through 6th grade.

Founded in 1949, PDS serves approximately 500 boys in grades YK-6th grades. With our mission of striving to glorify God by developing boys in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man, we take a holistic approach to education, nurturing the heart, soul, mind and body of each boy. Our academic program centers on the development of critical and creative thinking skills. We train our boys to research, analyze, synthesize, and connect ideas and subjects, as well as to develop the important skills of collaboration and teaming. With 80% of our teachers having studied at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, our teachers are committed to aligning teaching and learning with the opportunities and challenges that the 21st century presents. As a faculty and staff, we deeply engage the question of what it means to be well educated in the dynamic global community of the 21st century.

Our October virtue is Humble Hero! 💙❤️ Humility means thinking of ourselves less and showing greater interest in others. This month, we’re encouraging our boys to practice that through everyday choices: listening closely, sharing credit, and putting others’ needs before their own. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10

❤️ Our JK boys began learning about the human body with a study of the heart! They made predictions about what a heart really looks like, learned that it’s about the size of their fist, and added hearts, veins, and arteries to their “body boys.” The perfect culmination? Heading to science class to get an up-close look by dissecting a sheep’s heart! Experiential learning at its best!🫀🔬

🎹🎻 Crusader Café gives our boys the opportunity to share their musical talents with classmates and teachers during lunch. Held several times throughout the year, Crusader Café is open to boys who are taking lessons and regularly practicing their instrument. Stepping up to perform takes courage, and whether it’s a first performance or one of many, their fellow Crusaders are always ready to cheer them on. Bravo to today’s performers! 👏🎶
