Most people already possess the instinct to defend themselves. It's built into us. The challenge is knowing what to do, how to do it, when to do iot and how to how to apply that "it" ethically and morally.
At TRTG, we help transform that natural ability to defend into an effective defensive capability. Our goal isn't to create fighters. It's to help ordinary people become more capable defenders of themselves, their families, and the lives they've built.
Capability begins long before a physical confrontation. It begins with how you think, what you notice, and the choices you make.

No two snowflakes are exactly alike. Each one is shaped by the conditions it encounters as it falls through the atmosphere. Small differences in temperature, humidity, wind, and timing create a completely different result.
We are shaped by our experiences, our challenges, our successes, our failures, and the environments we move through every day. No two people arrive at the same place by the same path...because of these differences of experiences no two people will respond the same way.
That is why there is no single formula for confidence, readiness, or personal defense. Train by principles not techniques.

No one has the right to kill anyone else. Shooting or assaulting another person is a crime. However, in some situations of defense, the laws provide a defense to an action that otherwise might be pursued criminally…we should never willinfully or intentionally take the life of another. In the presence of a threat our only goal is to stop the threat so we can get back home.
A raw, high-contrast text graphic is tearing through digital communities, generating massive engagement by forcing a definitive, honest answer regarding property safety and personal sovereignty: "SHOULD AMERICANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE LETHAL FORCE AGAINST CRIMINALS WHO BREAK INTO THEIR HOMES?"
This question cuts right to the core of the foundational "Castle Doctrine" legal principle.
The Castle Posture: Proponents argue that the moment an intruder smashes through a window or kicks down a door, they have demonstrated an absolute intent to commit violence. A homeowner shouldn't be legally forced to retreat or analyze the intruder's weapon status; they have a moral right to deliver immediate, lethal force to protect their children and property.
The Leniency Critique: Opponents and certain progressive legal structures argue that lethal force should only be a last resort under extreme, proven threats to life, warning that unrestricted rights can lead to accidental shootings of family members or non-violent trespassers. This debate remains the ultimate indicator of where society stands on personal safety versus state-regulated justice.

Most problems arrive before help does.
Whether it's a medical emergency, a vehicle breakdown, a bad decision, or a personal safety issue, the first response usually belongs to you.
At TRTG, we help people develop awareness, decision-making, and practical defensive skills so they have more options when they need them most.
Training creates options...Options create better outcomes.

As teenagers mature, they are learning to navigate a world filled with pressure, uncertainty, emotion, social influence, and increasing responsibility. Good decision-making is not automatic. It develops over time through guidance, experience, self-awareness, and environment.
TRTG’s Teen Awareness & Readiness Program is designed to help middle and high school students develop confidence, emotional regulation, situational awareness, better judgment, and practical personal defense skills in a structured, respectful and encouraging training environment.
This is not a "learning to fight" culture...personal defense is different. Our focus is awareness, avoidance, decision-making, self-control, and if neccessary applying personal physical defenses.
Students learn:
• awareness and observation
• emotional control under stress
• confidence and boundary-setting
• practical defensive skills
• respect for themselves and others
Classes begin in July.
