Nell and Joseph Womack reflect on their decision to send their triplets, Camille, Annie and Rob, to ECS following graduation from Christ Methodist Day School, where Nell teaches Bible.

A: Even though they are all the same age, our triplets each have unique interests and personalities. We were looking for a school that was a good fit for all three of them in several areas – academics, discipleship, athletics and a strong sense of community. When we toured ECS, it checked all of these boxes. Almost immediately, it felt like the right place for our family and a clear answer to many prayers about our school decision. We were so thankful for the clarity God gave us for our kids’ next steps.

A: From the first day of middle school orientation, our kids have felt seen, known and loved by their d-group leaders, teachers, coaches and school administrators. Since Camille and Annie are identical, they couldn’t believe that Mr. Hauss had taken the time to learn the trick to tell them apart (their shoes!). That kind of extra effort from our Head of School truly meant so much to our family, and it trickles down into every faculty and staff member we have met. The transition to ECS was truly a smooth one, thanks to the school’s welcoming community.

A: Thanks to the dedicated teachers who are available during zero period each day, our kids have grown in confidence and independence. They have learned to use that time to ask for help, study for upcoming tests or even find a quiet place to read or finish some homework. We are so thankful we have also seen spiritual growth in our children as they have studied God’s Word in Bible class and seen the faith of their teachers and friends lived out daily.
𝗤: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗖𝗦, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆?
A: Even though we have only been at ECS for one school year, we have already felt welcomed into the community. The school is big enough to offer a variety of opportunities for students to find a place to belong – ranging from Friday night football games to outstanding theatre performances and everything in between. Yet, it is small enough to allow each student to be seen, known and loved. We count ECS among our blessings, and we can’t wait to see how the Lord continues to use this school to help Camille, Annie and Rob “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
