Fit, price, materials, looks, and personal preference go to the Sabrina 4. The KD 19 answers back with traction, cushion, bounce, support, and dust resistance. Squeak and lockdown are tied, and the Sabrina 4 takes court feel, outdoor capability, and weight.

Weighing the categories that actually move performance, this is about as close as it gets — the Sabrina 4 wins by just one. If you prioritize cushioning and support, take the KD 19. For the better all-around value, I'm taking the Sabrina 4.

Throwback Thursday — going back to the Nike Zoom KD 14 in the Floral colorway, and it's more comfortable than I remembered. 💐☁️

Give this one time to break in and the fit gets a lot more accommodating for wide feet — snug at first, but it eases up fast. This might be one of the most comfortable KD models ever made, cushion-wise right up there with the KD 19, thanks to the Full-Length Air Zoom Strobel and Cushlon foam setup built for real impact protection over speed. Traction is reliable, dust resistance holds up, and support does its job.

Not going to lie — I'm not the biggest fan of the mid-cut collar, it rubs against the ankle a bit, and this colorway isn't my favorite either. But if plush, protective cushioning is what you're after, this one still delivers.

There's a time to look back — some things are worth revisiting. 🙏

Fit, price, squeak, traction, cushion, bounce, weight, dust resistance, and personal preference all go to the adidas D.O.N Issue 8. The Nike Sabrina 4 answers back with better court feel and better support, plus the edge on looks. Lockdown and outdoor capability are even, materials are tied.

Weighing the categories that actually move performance, the D.O.N Issue 8 delivers the stronger overall package. The Sabrina 4 still offers excellent support and better court feel, but the D.O.N Issue 8 is my pick.

The Sport Grotto Kobe 6 Protro "Dark Knight" might be the most faithful take on one of the greatest basketball shoes ever made. 🦇🔥

This pair is $180 USD, and it wears every bit like the real thing — elite traction, responsive Zoom Turbo cushioning, and support that holds up game after game. Fit is more forgiving than retail and true to size for most people. The Dark Knight colorway is genuinely one of my all-time favorites. Worth being upfront: this is a replica, not an authentic Nike release — but on court, it delivers a fantastic experience.

Price is even. The Sabrina 4 wins lockdown, outdoor capability, bounce, materials, support, and looks. The Sabrina 3 wins fit, squeak, traction, cushion, weight, and personal preference — and court feel is a tie. When you weigh just the categories that actually move performance, it's basically a coin flip, and the Sabrina 3 edges it out where it matters most.

The Sabrina 4 improves lockdown, support, and outdoor durability, but if I could only choose one, I'm still taking the Sabrina 3.

Sometimes the older version is still the right one. 🙏

The Nike PG 1 EP "Flip The Switch" isn't the plushest ride out there — but it might be one of the best-looking PG colorways ever made. ⚫️⚪️🔥

This one's built for guards who want court feel and responsiveness over plush cushioning — the fit runs snug through the forefoot, so wide feet may want to size up. Traction is reliable, lockdown is secure, and the ride is quick and responsive, though the cushion runs firm and won't suit everyone. Materials are functional rather than special, but the Flip The Switch colorway is still one of the cleanest PG 1 releases ever made.

Same DNA, one clear upgrade. adidas D.O.N Issue 8 versus the Issue 7 — is the newer one actually better? 🕷️🔥

Fit, price, squeak, lockdown, traction, support, and dust resistance are all dead even between the adidas D.O.N Issue 8 and the Issue 7. The Issue 8 takes cushion, bounce, weight, materials, and looks — and personal preference too. The Issue 7 still holds the edge on court feel and outdoor capability.

Both are excellent shoes with very similar DNA. The Issue 8 improves on cushioning, bounce, lighter weight, and a more breathable upper. If you value court feel and outdoor play, the Issue 7 still has an edge. Otherwise, the Issue 8 is my pick.

What's on the outside catches the eye — what's underneath is what actually holds up. 🙏

The Nike Sabrina 4 "Limelight Glow" looks incredible... but does it play like it looks? 🗽🔥

This is easily one of the cleanest silhouettes Nike's put out this year — the colorway alone makes it worth a look. On court, support is strong and the value is hard to beat at this price, but the low-to-the-ground forefoot feel and traction that struggles on dustier courts keep this from cracking the top tier.
