¡Celebrando el !

FPA Millbranch celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a show full of music, dancing, and community pride! Students and teachers dressed in beautiful folkloric attire, families cheered from the audience, and the sounds of Selena and Gloria Estefan brought everyone together for a joyful celebration.

From performances on stage to classroom activities exploring traditions and cultural diversity, our students had the opportunity to learn, share, and celebrate the many cultures that make our community special.

We love seeing our core values of Community, Respect, and Excellence come to life as our Freedom Prep family celebrates the richness of Hispanic heritage together!

What a celebration! FPA Brownlee High was full of music, dancing, creativity, delicious food, soccer, and JOY today as we celebrated with our families and community!

From paletas, tamales, and empanadas to piraguas and other delicious goodies, our students, teachers, families, and community partners came ready to celebrate. And what a turnout!

Our students brought so much life to the afternoon, from face painting to playing soccer on the field. Mrs. Layton taught us how to make papel picado and flores, while Mr. Armas recognized our soccer players with awards. Something was happening around every corner!

A BIG shout-out to the many vendors, community partners, and student entrepreneurs who joined us and shared their businesses, talents, creativity, and culture with our Freedom Prep community. Thank you for helping make today such a special celebration.

Brownlee, you showed up and showed out! 🧡

Drop a 🧡 in the comments for everyone who helped make today one to remember!

We’re celebrating Mrs. Margaret Griffith!

Our FPA Millbranch second-grade teacher was recently honored by The Urban Child Institute with an award for excellence in grade-level reading. To show teacher appreciation, the Urban Child Institute surprised Mrs. Griffith with a special gift for our school.

“It is such a joy to realize that our efforts are celebrated,” shared Mrs. Griffith.

We are so proud of you, Mrs. Griffith, and grateful for the care and dedication you bring to your students every day! A special thank you to Mrs. Bryan and Mr. Shorb from The Urban Child Institute for helping make this surprise so special! 🧡

A big FPA welcome to former NFL defensive tackle and Memphis native Dan Williams.

Dan stopped by FPA to share his story with our 9th and 10th graders at FPA Brownlee HS, and his message was loud and clear: excellence starts now.

"You're in the 9th grade. You have the luxury to excel and do the things you want to achieve."

From the classroom to the University of Tennessee to the NFL, Dan showed our Eagles what Excellence, Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, and Community look like in real life. Thank you, Dan, for reminding us that the best version of you is always worth showing up for! 💙

Why we show up. 🧡

For our FPA Eagles, school is more than a place to learn. It’s a place to grow, build community, show responsibility, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence.

From the classroom to the hallway, our students bring their own reasons for showing up each day, and we love hearing what makes Freedom Prep feel like home.

This is why we show up. This is why we’re Eagles.

On the field and on the court, our students are building more than athletic skills. They’re learning how to lead, work as a team, take responsibility, show respect, and keep going when the game gets tough.

From soccer to volleyball, every practice, play, and competition is another opportunity to live out our core values of Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, Community, and Excellence.

At Freedom Prep, we’re preparing students for college and life, and that preparation happens both inside and outside the classroom. ⚽🏐
