Letters, Names and Books Oh My!

Let’s focus on our October Agenda for my Tots

Different Learning tools is a great experience and I’m glad to a part of the Teaching Field it is mind blowing to explore many different aspects of teaching and learning techniques to inspire my students in the classroom

Preschool children are naturally intrigued by their names, the letters in their names, and the letters they find throughout their environment. These ECDC children enjoyed counting the letters in their names and decorating them too.

Letter scavenger hunts are always great fun, especially when a clipboard and markers are involved! 😉

“Names hold great meaning for children and are, for many, the first word they learn to recognize by sight. Children have a great interest in learning to write their names as well as the names of their family and friends” (Kirk, Elizabeth. Beginning With Names: Using Children’s Names to Facilitate Early Literacy Learning.)

Children are truly interested in learning how to write and recognize their names. Children are also interested in names of family members and close friends. Exploring our names provides opportunity to engage in community building and emergent academic learning in a meaningful way.

Welcome To Fall Everyone

As the leaves fall from the trees the children will experience the wonderful feeling of fall (or autumn) it is a wonderful time to spend with children, creating memories and making the most of the cozy atmosphere. Here are some popular activities to enjoy with kids during fall:

These are October projects we will be working on

1. Difference Apples colors buckets & apples water

2.Leaf gatherimg

3. Pumpkin carving: Activity for children & parents

4.Make fall crafts: Create leaf rubbings, paper plate
pumpkins, and other seasonal crafts.

5. Marshmallow & Chocolates

6. scavenger hunt: Create a list of items to find outside, like leaves, acorns, or specific types of flowers.

With these activities it will help you and your children create wonderful memories and make the most of the fall season!

It’s October and as we know It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I am a survivor of breast cancer and my mom passed of breast cancer so this month of the year I hold very dear to my heart

I’m encouraging like always for everyone including men to self exam yourself and if you feel anything out of order follow up with your specialist to set up a mammogram by a professional

Our September Calendar is based on introducing different colors to children, promoting cognitive development, communication skills, visual discrimination, vocabulary, sorting, and STEM skills. Learning colors helps children connect visual cues and words, improve their ability to express themselves, and develop detailed observation skills. It also lays the foundation for matching, sorting, and pattern creation, which are crucial for STEM development
