This Saturday, May 2nd, from 11-2! Student vendors and more will be set up on the blacktop and in the gym.
Our students have been working so hard creating items to sell at our first annual ArtsFest! We will also have face painting, SnoJunt 901 snow cone truck, and Odds Smash and Grab Burger Lab food truck.

Idlewild’s Math Team was thrilled to host Dr. Po-Shen Loh (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Po-Shen_Loh ), who is a mathematics professor at Carnegie Mellon, former national coach of the United States' International Mathematical Olympiad team, founder of educational websites Expii and Live, and lead developer of contact-tracing app NOVID.

He led a lively and engaging math lab on the algebraic reasoning behind patterns of divisibility, which our Mathletes said was “mesmerizing” and “the most amazing thing ever.” High praise from elementary students! We are so grateful for the partners investing in enrichment and critical thinking for our Idlewild Eagles 🧠 🦅 😎

We are so grateful to Urban Earth Gardens, Nursey, & Market for partnering with Idlewild to support our learning gardens. Their collaboration with Coast of Maine Organic Products, Inc. filled our beds with rich, organic soil— for NO cost to Idlewild! Erin from Urban Earth (mother of a 5th grade Eagle!) is also helping us plan, maintain, and tend to our garden this season. We are so grateful for their generosity, and can’t wait to see our garden grow and flourish.
