Established in 1872 the Christian Brothers Band is the oldest high school band in America with an unbroken lineage of ten band directors. From its beginning the band has been a part of Memphis history, performing for two U.S. Presidents as well as the dedications of the Court Square fountain in downtown Memphis, the Great Mississippi River Bridge, and St. The band has performed in twenty-six state

The Christian Brothers Band has once again been selected as a Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes Band Program! This award is earned by receiving Superior Ratings on Concert Performance, Sight Reading, and Solo & Enesemble Festival
