📚🎨 Every child has a story to tell!

This fall, Carpenter Art Garden is excited to launch our new pilot program, Stories in Color: Arts +Literacy K–3 After-School Program, in partnership with Cornerstone Prep!

Students will:
✨ Create and illustrate three original storybooks
📖 Build reading and writing skills
🎨 Explore drawing, painting, and collage
👩🏾‍🎨 Learn from a professional teaching artist
📚 Meet guest children's authors
🌟 Grow as readers, writers, artists, and storytellers

📍 This pilot program is available exclusively to Cornerstone Prep K–3 students for the 2026–2027 school year.

This special film event is hosted by Play Your Park in partnership with the Memphis & Shelby County Film/TV Commission and the University of Memphis Department of Communication and Film. ⭐️

Play Your Park presents the We Back Outside Free Drop‑In Summer Camp! Kids and teens ages 5–15 can join us at participating City of Memphis park locations from June 1–July 24, Mondays–Thursdays, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. ☀️

Parents, just show up and sign your kids in for activities, games, fun, and free lunch! 🛝
