We will also work with both individual doctors’ offices and organizations in Memphis, Tennessee, and Houston, Texas to provide joint injections (and other injections; trigger finger, etc..). Our focus is to make the pain-relieving methodologies of steroid joint injections (shoulders, knees, elbows, hands); and viscosupplementation injections of the knees (Hyaluronic acid) available to the broader public. We will be accepting insurance payments but our main focus will be Veteran, Medicare, and indigent patients.
Dr. Maurice Skillern DMS, the founder of PAIN-C noted after working in the field of orthopedics for over ten years that there was a large majority of seniors who are unnecessarily suffering from joint pain. This suffering, in most cases, is due to a "lack of knowledge" of the potential benefit of orthopedic injections or due to financial reasons.
We will be working with a philosophy of "Your primary care doctor is your greatest advocate". With this in mind, we will be working with various primary care physicians to offer their patients joint injection therapy when it is deemed appropriate. We use this thought process of working with primary care providers to promote and maintain continuity of care. If you "the patient" feel that injection therapy would help you or if you are interested in trying injection therapy, ask your primary care provider to contact our office to discuss how we can make the injections available for you. Once the MD. supervision technicalities are taken care of we will become your central point of orthopedic injections as long as they are effective in relieving joint discomfort. We will look forward to providing your care.
Thank You in Advance
