Over 200 Educators gathered at the Memphis-Shelby County Education Association on Monday, June 1 to learn more about the state's handling of the new cut scores. Present were state legislators, school board members and representatives of the state department of education.

The 36th annual M-SCEA National Teacher Day Banquet is Friday, May 8 at the Memphis Hilton. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 23 and are $35 each. There will be special recognition of M-SCEA members who are retiring this year. Tickets for participating retirees will be complimentary. The Instruction and Professional Development Committee of M-SCEA conducted a food drive for the Mid-South food bank. We received hundreds of non-perishable food items and over $300 in cash to donate for those in need this holiday season! Thanks to all who participated!
