✨ Third Grade Update for 9/15-9/19✨

We had another exciting week in third grade! 📚

In reading, we finished Owen Foote, Money Man and began exploring an autobiography about Roald Dahl. Next week, we’ll dive into one of his most famous works, The BFG, as we study his unique writing style and identify character traits.

In math, we practiced multiplying by 5 and worked on different multiplication strategies. The students are showing great progress as they build their math fact fluency! ✖️➕

📌 Reminder: Reading logs are due on Monday—please be sure your child brings theirs back to school.

We’re looking forward to another great week of learning and discovery! 🌟

✨ Our first week in third grade was a success! ✨
We spent time getting to know each other through class-building and team-building activities. Students worked hard learning our rules, expectations, and procedures, and we are already off to a great start!

We can’t believe it is already May!

We had a wonderful Arbor Day last week and are so grateful our third graders got to bring home seedlings to plant. It was such a sweet way to celebrate the day 🌲

Before our Arctic Queen celebration today, we had a special visit from Northstar Bank. We are so thankful our students got to take part in the Secret Agent Savings lesson with Twinkle the Star 🌟

Arctic Queen was a blast and a fun way to celebrate all of their hard work on the MSTEP.

We are also so proud that Memphis placed third in the state for April in the Prodigy Challenge. We are excited to see how we do in Nationals this month 🎉 🙌🏻
