Melvindale Safety Town

Melvindale Safety Town SAFETY TOWN is a non profit program run in cooperation with City of Melvindale, Dearborn Fire Department Station 5, and the MelNAP school district.

This program for children ages 4 to 6 is held in once a year for 2 weeks in the summer.

Dear Families,

We wanted to let you know that Safety Town will continue as scheduled tomorrow, despite the current air quality alert.

To help keep everyone safe, activities will again be held indoors while the air quality remains a concern with the exception of a short walk to the police station next door where we will tour the station and a quick look at the police car. We will provide masks for the children for this part of the trip.

We understand that every family has its own comfort level regarding air quality, and we respect whatever decision is best for your child. If you choose to keep your child home, please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Stop, leave the area, take your friends, and tell an adult! We stayed inside today for our lessons due to the air quality alert! We had a great day!
