Students spent time reconnecting with friends, meeting new classmates, and learning from their amazing new teachers. Recess was full of energy, and the whole day was wrapped in laughter, connection, and learning - and even Fr. Mitchell was excited to ride his β€œbike” to school today! We are so grateful to the Magnifi Foundation for their generous donation, which will fund a much-needed renovation of our school office next summer. This project will create a more welcoming, spacious area for families and visitors, as well as a safer, more secure entry point.

The Magnifi Foundation directly invests in initiatives that enhance the lives of community members. Since 2015, they have donated over $202,800 to local schools, emergency services, and community organizations. Thank you, Magnifi Foundation, for your incredible partnership and support!

While everyone enjoyed summer break, these superheroes were busy cleaning, fixing, organizing, and getting our school ready for an awesome new year. They make our building shine - and we appreciate them more than they know!

We also want to give a HUGE shout‑out to the parents who helped move classrooms at the end of the school year. Your extra hands gave our custodians a major jump start, and it made a world of difference.

Because of all of you, our school is fresh, organized, and ready for an amazing year ahead. Thank you for helping set the stage for success!

From cheering at baseball games to exploring beautiful corners of Minnesota, our staff - and their lucky ducks - made the most of their summer adventures.
- Staff visited parks, lakes, and landmarks across Minnesota and the country, enjoying the sunshine and the chance to slow down and recharge.
- A few ducks even made appearances at local baseball games, joining in on the excitement and community spirit.
- Playing pickleball, golfing, and getting outside kept everyone energized and ready for the year ahead.
- Summer also brought precious moments with family; the kind of memories that fill hearts and fuel the joy we bring back to school.
We’re refreshed, grateful, and so excited to welcome our students and families back for another wonderful year at SMS!
