Last week, HME had a very special “Art Teacher of the Day” Ms. Brielle! 🎨✨

Ms. Brielle had the opportunity to step into the role of art teacher for the day and did an incredible job working with students in the classroom. She brought creativity, positivity, and excitement as she helped lead fun art activities and encouraged fellow students to let their artistic talents shine.

We loved seeing her confidence and leadership throughout the day, and she truly made the experience memorable for everyone involved. Great job, Ms. Brielle!

☀️Melissa ISD offices follow a modified schedule during the summer break from school. The standard summer office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with all offices closed on Fridays. Across the district, summer office hours take effect Monday, June 1, and normal office hours resume Monday, Aug. 3. Second graders wrote letters to future second graders, sharing all the exciting things first graders can look forward to next year! It was such a sweet way to encourage and welcome our future students to second grade.

Market Day was a huge success in Third Grade! Students put their creativity and hard work on display as they created their own products and “sold” them. Staff and students had so much fun shopping the student made items and supporting our young entrepreneurs. We are so proud of their creativity, teamwork, and business skills!

For Melissa High School only, the last day of school is Thursday, May 21, with early release and the Class of 2026 Graduation Commencement that evening. For all other campuses, the last day of school is Friday, May 22, with early release.

Last Friday was full of magic, creativity, and colorful fun in Kindergarten at Harry McKillop Elementary! Our students had the best time celebrating Disney Day and Chalk Day before the weekend!

Our amazing 4th graders at Harry McKillop Elementary brought Texas history to life during their Texas Performance! 🤠⭐️

Students shared songs, facts, history, and lots of Texas pride as they showcased all they’ve learned this year. We are so proud of their hard work, confidence, and incredible performances on stage!
