Dennis Gage, of My Classic Car, stopped by back in March to film a pair of wagons, along with attending our Celebration of Cars show. Earlier this week, we shared the first part of the video, with this being the second video on our 1957 Ford Country Squire Wagon. We always love having Dennis by, and love how this video turned out. Take a look!

This 1978 Porsche 930 Turbo is a striking example of one of the most recognizable performance cars of the air-cooled era. Originally sold new in the United States, this 930 left the factory finished in black, but is now painted in Ferrari Giallo Modena. This is a vibrant yellow that gives the car a look similar in spirit to Porsche’s period-correct Talbot Yellow, but with a brighter, more modern tone.
The 930 Turbo took the classic 911 silhouette and turned up the intensity with flared fenders, a deep front valance, black trim, and the unmistakable whale-tail rear spoiler. For the 1978 model year, Porsche upgraded the 930 with a 3.3L turbocharged flat-six, producing 261 horsepower and a top speed of 165 mph. Car and Driver tested the car at just under five seconds from 0–60 mph. Compared with the L82 Corvette of the same year, the 930 was roughly two seconds quicker to 60 mph and had a top speed about 30 mph higher, though it also cost nearly three times as much.
Inside, the car features a black leather interior with later power front seats. Showing just over 62,000 original miles, it remains highly original and is equipped with no radio, an electric sunroof, and a four-speed manual transmission.
With its unmistakable silhouette, turbocharged character, and bold presence, this 1978 Porsche 930 Turbo remains one of the great icons of the air-cooled era, and a car that helped define Porsche performance for generations to come.

On This Date in Automotive History: May 20th
A surprising number of interesting moments in automotive history happened on May 20th, ranging from an early speeding ticket to one of the most famous rivalries in motorsports.
1899: The first known official speeding infraction in the United States involving a “horseless carriage” took place in New York City. Jacob German was driving an electric taxi for the Electric Vehicle Company when city policeman John Schuessler, riding a bicycle at the time, caught up with him. Speed limits then were just eight miles per hour on straight roads and four miles per hour when turning.
1958: The Austin-Healey Sprite was announced to the press in Monte Carlo by the British Motor Corporation, just two days after the Monaco Grand Prix. Produced from 1958 to 1971, the small British sports car became famous for its simple design, lightweight personality, and unmistakable “Bugeye” face.
1963: The proposed Ford and Ferrari deal collapsed. After 22 days of negotiations, with Ford lawyers and engineers already in Italy, the deal was close to being signed. At the last minute, on May 20, 1963, it fell apart. Ford returned to Detroit, regrouped, and the rejected offer helped lead to the creation of the legendary Ford GT40.
1971: Tony Stewart was born in Columbus, Indiana. Stewart went on to collect 49 NASCAR Cup Series wins, winning on every style of track, and captured the Brickyard 400 twice at his home-state Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
1987: American Motors Corporation’s board of directors approved Chrysler Corporation’s buyout offer. The deal would eventually bring Jeep under the Chrysler umbrella, making it one of the most important acquisitions in modern American automotive history.
From a bicycle-chased speeding ticket to the birth of the GT40 story, May 20th has had its share of automotive milestones.

This stunning Revology Boss 429 is finished in Black Jade, one of the most iconic and understated colors from the original Boss era. While it captures the unmistakable presence of a 1969 Mustang Boss 429, this car also brings modern performance, comfort, and build quality to one of Ford’s most legendary muscle car designs.
Revology’s take on the Boss 429 keeps the spirit of the original alive while creating something that can be driven, enjoyed, and appreciated in a whole new way. From its aggressive stance and functional details to the deep Black Jade finish, this car is a perfect blend of vintage attitude and modern craftsmanship.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Gen 4 supercharged 5.0L V8 producing 710 horsepower, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission.
We are excited to welcome it to the American Muscle Car Museum. It will be displayed inside for our fall events along the Revology row inside the AMCM. Keep an eye out for more on Revology Cars and the American Muscle Car Museum coming up soon!

We want to wish DJ Big Poppa a very Happy Birthday! If you have ever been to a car show here at the museum, then you have likely seen or heard him, as no one has been here more than he has. John has helped with dozens of events here at the AMCM, including most of our Veterans Day Open Houses, AACA Celebration of Cars shows, and many other car shows across Brevard. We all would like to wish him a Happy Birthday!

We would like to wish AMCM Volunteer Kevin McKeown a very Happy Birthday. Kevin has been an excellent volunteer, always willing to go the extra mile for the AMCM and our charitable events. He is also a West Point graduate and heads up our annual West Point Society event held every year or two at the museum.
Even today, on his birthday, he brought his awesome Pontiac Trans Am to share with the 1st grade students from West Melbourne School for Science. Kevin is a huge gearhead, with some amazing American Muscle cars he brings to nearly every show, and is an all-around excellent person! We are happy to have him feeling better and as part of our Volunteer Family! Happy Birthday, Kevin!
