Last week craziness!
I didnt get pictures of everything...and I got sick in the middle of the week, but we had a lot of fun!
We've done-
Holidays Around the World (Netherlands, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Italy, and Japan)
Mistletoe Madness - TWELVE holiday stations - between 3 of us teachers... man it was crazy, but so much fun!

And ended with movie day - watching one they've never seen (so it keep them entertained)

Our first day of school was a success! We had a great day. LOTS of procedures and setting up our notebooks, but we got some fun activities in there, too!
We did the M&M activity, the Figure out Your Teacher (great for a quick glance at their math skills), and we read our first picture book of the year!

2nd grade friends! Im looking for a picture book read aloud that has a theme of "all the things you'll learn" for the year.
Who has a favorite for that?

This year, my goal is to really try to share our read alouds for the day. The way that our curriculum is so packed, I dont always have time for a read aloud...but thats my goal!
