Happy Labor Day!

Today, Brevard Schools Foundation recognizes the people whose hard work and dedication strengthen our schools and our community.

We are especially grateful for the educators and school staff who serve students each day, and for the donors, volunteers, board members, and community partners who work alongside us to create opportunities throughout Brevard Public Schools (official).

💡 There’s still time to bring your Bright Idea to life!

Brevard Public Schools (official) teachers can apply for a Bright Ideas Classroom Grant through September 14.

Funding is available for creative learning opportunities:
🔹 $500 for a single classroom project
🔹 $1,500 for a grade-level or schoolwide project

From literacy and the arts to STEM, health and wellness, career preparation, CTE, and more, your idea could create a new opportunity for students.

Community impact often starts with someone deciding to rally others around a need. 💙🎒

Thank you to Dustin O’Donnell and Mushcrew and to Keith Becher and Brevard Atheist & Secular Humanists (BASH), for helping collect and deliver school supplies for the Supply Zone for Teachers.

From backpacks to classroom essentials, these donations became part of a much larger community effort to ensure Brevard Public Schools teachers have resources available when students need them.

We’re pleased to announce that Mindy Levy will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 14th Annual Reach for the Stars Gala! ✨

With years in local radio and a longstanding commitment to supporting programs throughout Brevard County, Mindy is a familiar voice and face in our community and a strong supporter of Brevard Schools Foundation.

Now serving as a Community Programs Specialist with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Mindy will join us September 19 as we celebrate a very special milestone: 30 years of Take Stock in Children of Brevard.

We’re looking forward to having Mindy help us celebrate the students, mentors, supporters, and community partners who have helped make three decades of impact possible.

Today we’re thanking two more partners who helped stock the Supply Zone for Teachers: Winner Auto Center and The Brennity at Melbourne.

Winner Auto Center opened its doors as a public collection site, making it convenient for customers and neighbors to contribute. The Brennity at Melbourne also rallied support for local classrooms through its school supply collection.

Every backpack, notebook, and classroom essential delivered through these community efforts helps Brevard Public Schools (official) educators respond when students need supplies throughout the school year.

Year after year, community partners help keep the Supply Zone stocked. 💙🎒

Thank you to Supreme Title and everyone who donated across its three locations during this year’s Back-to-School Supply Drive. Their continued support of the Supply Zone for Teachers year after year helps keep school supplies available for Brevard Public Schools (official) classrooms long after the first day of school.

We’re grateful for partners who return each year and invite their communities to join them in supporting local students and teachers.
