The mission of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi was established to recognize and encourage superior scholarship without restriction as to area of study and to promote the "unity and democracy of education". It was founded in 1897, fourth after other similar academic societies: Phi Beta Kappa for the Liberal Arts and Sciences, Tau Beta Pi for Engineering, and Sigma Xi for Scientific Research, chronologically. Who is in? - The Florida Tech Phi Kappa Phi Chapter is helping clean the beach at the Archie Carr Wildlife Refuge as a part of an event run by the Friends of Carr Refuge on April 9th from 8am to 10am. We will meet at 7:45am at the Sebastian Inlet State Park Marina parking lot. All applicants will be notified on whether they were selected or not as the Florida Tech nominee. The PKP National recipient will be notified in Summer 2022.

The 2021 Phi Kappa Phi Fall Project, The Climate and Sustainability Panel was held on November 17. This was a very exciting panel discussion on the importance of sustainability and career opportunities within that realm. After an open discussion, three sustainability experts and trained Climate Reality Leaders--upstanding citizens proactively raising awareness and inspiring action against the climate crisis--will talk about their experience working in this exciting and evolving realm.
