Water fun and safety go hand in hand!
Always keep a close eye on children near pools, lakes, beaches, and even bathtubs. Drowning can happen quickly and silently.

💦 Water Safety Reminders:
• Never leave children unattended near water
• Use properly fitted life jackets
• Designate a “water watcher”
• Learn CPR
• Teach kids to swim early

A safe summer is the best summer! 🩵

National Start Over Day: Parent Edition 💜

Not because we’d change a thing about our kids…
But because we’d love a do over on a few moments. 😂
Finish this sentence:
“If I had a START OVER button today, I’d use it when_________.” 👇😂

Hot weather + outdoor play can raise the risk of dehydration in kids. ☀️💧

Offer water before they feel thirsty, pack a water bottle wherever you go, and watch for signs like dry lips, low energy, or dark urine.

Try to limit sugary sports drinks — for most kids, water is the best choice!

Happy Global Day of Parents!

Today we’re celebrating the parents who show up, ask the questions, advocate for their children, and trust us with their most precious people.

At Pediatric Wizards, we don’t just care for kids — we partner with the incredible parents behind them. You’re doing an amazing job. 🧙✨

Now tell us: what’s ONE thing about parenting nobody warned you about? 👇
We’ll start: giving medicine to a toddler is an Olympic sport. 😅

Every great wizard has a name.
Our ours apparently has several 🤣🧙‍♂️

That’s not his name… but we appreciate the creativity. ✨

Florida sunshine is fun… but it can be fierce. ☀️

Before the pool days, beach trips, playground adventures, and sports practices, make sunscreen part of the routine — just like shoes, snacks, and water bottles.

A few quick reminders for families:
☀️ Apply sunscreen before heading outside
☀️ Reapply, especially after swimming or sweating
☀️ Don’t forget ears, noses, shoulders, and the tops of feet
☀️ Hats, shade, and water breaks are part of the magic too

Healthy summer skin starts before the sunburn shows up.

Mystery rash season is officially here. ☀️🦟🌿

Between Florida heat, outdoor play, sunscreen, grass, bugs, and all the usual kid germs, skin surprises can show up fast and they’re not always easy to figure out from a description alone.

If something pops up that has you wondering, “Should this be checked?” give us a call so we can schedule a visit and take a closer look.

When it comes to kids and rashes, a little peace of mind can go a long way. 💜

You asked, we answered: Is this allergies or a cold? 🤧

This time of year in Florida, it can be tricky to tell the difference. Sneezing, runny noses, coughing, and congestion can show up with both — but there are a few clues parents can look for.

Allergies often come with itchy/watery eyes, sneezing, clear drainage, and no fever. Colds are more likely to bring cough, sore throat, thicker mucus, low fever, and that “I just don’t feel good” look.

Not sure what’s going on? That’s what we’re here for. 💜

Call Pediatric Wizards if your child has wheezing, trouble breathing, ear pain, persistent fever, or symptoms that seem to be getting worse.
