Do you know what Lent means?
Lent is a season of reflection and preparation—40 days that echo Jesus’ time of fasting in the wilderness, and also remind us of the long journey God’s people endured in the desert. It’s a sacred reminder that our deepest hunger isn’t just physical… it’s spiritual. We were made for God.

This year, Lent is happening alongside Ramadan and the Chinese New Year—three seasons that, in different ways, point people toward discipline, renewal, and spiritual awareness. It feels like a powerful nudge: a call back to community, to humility, to love for our neighbors, and to remembering the One who gives true life.

As these days unfold, please take a moment to slow down. Reflect. Read Scripture. Pray—for yourself, for your family, for your neighbors, for our country, and for the world.

May we all come to know more deeply the love, grace, and mercy of our Lord.

The gift of the Magi included gold, myrrh and frankincense. Do you know the meaning behind this? Gold represented the royal lineage as a king. Myrrh and frankincense are used to scent altars and temples, representing the Spiritual nature of baby Jesus. But myrrh and frankincense also are used in ceremonial burial ritual meaning the prophecy to be accomplished.
