📚 Volunteer Opportunity + PTO Fundraiser! 📚

We’re looking for volunteers to help staff our Book Babysitting station at the Big Ohio Book Con on June 6 & 7 at the Medina County Fairgrounds.

Attendees can leave their books and bags with us while they shop, and all donations collected will benefit the Ella Canavan PTO!

Ella Canavan was selected as one of the projects to be completed during Grace Church, Medina East Campus’ Love Medina Weekend. We are so thankful for the fifty volunteers who donated time and resources on May 2 and May 3 to beautify our Canavan grounds with mulch, plants, and other landscaping work!

Each year, Medina City Schools recognizes the incredible volunteers who make a difference in students’ lives. This year, Jan Simmons, Master Gardener from the OSU Extension, was recognized as one of the district’s Volunteers of the Year.

Through her work with second-grade students at Ella Canavan and across the district, Mrs. Simmons has inspired a love of gardening, learning, and nature in countless students.
