Spring recitals were a wonderful success! We used zoom, and the event went very smoothly. The students are all doing very well and progressing quickly. Enjoy one of the student's performances: It is several of the dances from the Nutcracker Suite by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Lydia, one of my students, was asked to play ‘How Great Thou’ at her grandmother’s church. We worked in her piano lessons for interpretation, style, and legato. She has done well. Lydia knows the difference between in finger/key releases which are required for different genres of music. At heart, she is an advanced jazz piano player, and yet she still did very well playing this variation of a famous him which required a lot of legato.
I moved from Ohio to Pennsylvania, and 85% of my piano students moved with me. With the aid of technology, the piano students still have their lesson each week. While the method of instruction is altered to accomodate remote teaching, the results have been amazing. I have been more than pleased with the results and the ease of continuing to provide the highest quality instruction. Yes, lessons have changed, but the change allowed us to continue our progress even during Covid-19. I have only received positive feedback from parents. Students seem to have acclimated to the new "face-to-face" lessons. Happy that this has been such a positive experience for all of us!
