🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸
Today we pause today to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time for gratitude, reflection, and remembrance. We are thankful for the freedoms we enjoy and for the sacrifices made by so many families throughout our nation’s history.

Wishing our school community a safe, peaceful, and meaningful holiday as we continue into the summer season together. ❤️🤍💙

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming a police officer and his K9 companion to the school for a demonstration.

He talked to the kids about:
✅ History and training of policy/military working dogs
✅ Article/item search
✅ Tracking and apprehension
✅ Obedience

We are so thankful for the community we have here at Around the Sun Montessori that allows us to offer special experiences like this to our students. 💙

🌿✨ Montessori Monday ✨🌿

As we celebrate the last Montessori Monday of the school year, we are reminded of the incredible growth that happens when children are given the freedom to explore, discover, and follow their natural curiosity.

This year, our students built more than academic skills — they built confidence, independence, compassion, resilience, and a love of learning that will continue far beyond the classroom walls.

Every lesson, every challenge, every friendship, and every moment of discovery helped shape the amazing individuals they are becoming. 🌱

To our students: thank you for your curiosity and joy.
To our families: thank you for your support and trust.
To our staff: thank you for nurturing each child with patience, purpose, and love.

We are so proud of all that was accomplished this year and cannot wait to see where the children’s journeys lead next. 🌞✨

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who guide with patience, nurture with love, and inspire independence every day. 🌷

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers who help children grow with confidence, curiosity, and kindness. Your love is the child’s first classroom, and your support helps them flourish both at home and at school.

The elementary class took their last field trip of the year this morning! They delivered their donations to Cups Collective and told their story of how they went about getting so many donations (thank you everyone!), took a tour of the place, and learned about all the ways they help our wonderful Medina Community.

Then they hiked it over to Cool Beans Cafe for some bread making with Triskell Bakery! The kids helped prep some pre-made dough for the oven, made their own dough balls to take home, learned about the science behind bread making, and even took a ready-to-bake loaf home. They all agree the bread was delicious! 🤤

What a fun way to end the year!
