We are proud of the many Leaders Credit Union education grants recipients. Our very own Ms. Samantha Ellis is spotlighted below! Way to go SGCES!

Samantha Ellis with South Gibson County Elementary School wanted to create more opportunities for families to connect with their child's learning. With support from a LEADS Classroom Grant, she was able to provide additional resources that encouraged participation in monthly family engagement events for every Pre-K classroom, including VPK and special education students.

The result was the highest family attendance she's seen during her time as a Pre-K teacher; a reminder of the difference strong school and family partnerships can make.

Ms. Savannah’s kindergarten students read “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse” and discussed when and how we share out loud. Students practiced their speaking and listening skills to “show and tell” about an item that is special to them! 👜💜🗣️🐭

🌺 Aloha, Hornets! 🌺

Today is National Hawaiian Shirt Day, so we used it as the perfect excuse to have a little Friday fun! 😎🌴

SGCES staff enjoyed slushies and leis as we celebrated not only our Hawaiian spirit, but also making it through the first three weeks of school! 🎉

Our staff had a little fun this week with a Mystery Staff Member game! Each morning, teachers received three clues about a mystery staff member, and the first person to respond with the correct guess won a prize! 🕵️‍♀️🔍

And what better prize for our staff than a North Star Nutrition gift card?! 🧋💙 Our staff members LOVE their loaded teas, so these were the perfect back-to-school prizes!

A huge THANK YOU to North Star Nutrition for generously donating these prizes for our game! Our winners were SO excited to receive them and can’t wait to put those gift cards to good use! 😍🧋

We love finding ways to have a little fun and celebrate our amazing staff! ❤️
