Spanning 16,000 square feet, this vibrant space will be a place of joy, creativity, and community for individuals of all ages, from

toddlers to seniors. For over 23 years, Kelly Parks has been a key figure in establishing Medina County as a thriving hub for the arts. As the founder and director of the Medina Centre for Dance Art (MCDA), Kelly has cultivated a respected and welcoming environment for dance and theater enthusiasts, connecting people and fostering a deep love for the arts. The new facility at 780 West Smith Road will serve as the new home for the Medina Centre for Dance Art. As part of the Davis-Parks School of Art, MCDA will be a cornerstone of this exciting new creative space. Along with its flourishing Rising Stars Theater program, MCDA will continue to provide top notch dance instruction and theater opportunities to the community. The state-of-the-art facility will feature four spacious dance studios, a fitness classroom, and a Blackbox theater, providing ample room for the performing arts to flourish. MCDA will expand its offerings with new aerial arts, dance, yoga, and fitness programs. The Rising Stars Theater program will also grow, introducing new acting and technical theater classes alongside the already popular Broadway classes.

Our studio is participating in the Medina County Historical Society’s Annual Gingerbread House Contest! We are looking for students who would like to be a part of this opportunity! This is not a huge commitment, and your student will be guided throughout the entire process. We will supply everything at no cost to you!

This project will be displayed at the John Smart House Museum for the public to enjoy from November 8th to December 27th.

Dates:
Saturday, October 3rd: 11:00am-1:00pm
Saturday, October 10th: 11:00am-1:00pm
Saturday, October 24th: 11:00am-1:00pm (if needed)

Age Requirement: 7-11 years old
Number of Students Needed: 7-10

Calling all band students!! Andrew has lesson availability this fall.

Andrew is a Tuba Player and Music Educator based in Northeast Ohio. His performance career includes appearances with The Cleveland Orchestra, The National Symphony Orchestra, and The Richmond Symphony, among other orchestras and pop groups. He holds a Masters from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a Bachelors of Music Education from The Hartt School of Music, and is currently working on his Doctorate at CIM.

In his spare time, Andrew can be found chasing his dogs Lady and Brutus.

We have some classes for your child that builds their fundamental art skills, which increases their confidence and creativity! Our “Creative Sparks” and “Clay Club” classes use mixed-media materials to provide an opportunity for students to learn about composition and 3-D sculptures. The “Art Explorers” class is a great next step for those who want to learn more about art history, as well as learn more techniques such as printmaking, drawing, and painting.
