Medina City Schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 26 due to heavy snowfall and Tuesday, Jan. 27 due to extreme cold, with wind chills around or below -20°F.

Due to a National Weather Service weather alert forecasting extreme low temperatures and wind chills nearing -20 degrees, Medina City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

For today and tonight, all district activities are canceled, except Orchestra, which will conclude before the evening. For Tuesday, grades PK-8 extracurricular activities are canceled. High school athletic and extracurricular events will be evaluated on Tuesday afternoon as conditions evolve. Families will be notified by the Athletic Department, coaches, or advisors once decisions are made.
