Hello Weekday Families,
We are excited to begin our school year. Today our teachers sent out welcome emails for their classes. If you have not received an email please check your spam folder. Often that is where a missing email ends up.

Still do not see an email? No worries, your child’s teacher will be sure to reach out another way in the next few days to make contact.

You can also email Mrs.Harrison at [email protected] and she will be able to help.

We want to be sure everyone has all the information they need!

Congratulations to our 2026 Alumni Scholarship recipients!

Nathan Mion plans on attending the University of Akron to study Mechanical Engineering.

Benjamin Raulie plans on attending the University of Rhode Island to study Supply Chain Management.

We love when Mrs. Simmons comes to class!

So well deserved! What a beautiful recognition for taking the time to introduce children to the love of nature and gardening. Your kindness, patience, and passion are helping grow not only gardens, but curiosity, confidence, and appreciation for the world around them. 🌱🌼

Each year, Medina City Schools recognizes the incredible volunteers who make a difference in students’ lives. This year, Jan Simmons, Master Gardener from the OSU Extension, was recognized as one of the district’s Volunteers of the Year.

Through her work with second-grade students at Ella Canavan and across the district, Mrs. Simmons has inspired a love of gardening, learning, and nature in countless students. A big thank you to the Blinn family for providing lunch for our staff work day—we truly appreciate your kindness and support!

Our team worked hard organizing and closing our classrooms for the summer. It’s always a bittersweet time as we say goodbye for now—we will truly miss every child.

Now, we’re sliding into summer with full hearts ☀️

Do you know what makes Medina Weekday a special place?
It’s our wonderful families. Not only during teacher appreciation, but everyday. They spoiled us last week and we are so thankful for them all!

One last day, one last pun - “We GIFT You Our Thanks!”

Each member of our fabulous staff received a $50 gift card to their favorite store and a stunning wooden flower bouquet donated by Tipsy Designs, and a few other goodies! 💐

Teachers, we hope you felt loved and appreciated this week - but we also hope you feel that each and every day!

Families, YOU raised $1600 to make this week possible. Thank you so much!

“We Hope You Feel WRAP-ped in Our Love!”

Today, our teachers and staff enjoyed a delicious spread - assorted wraps, fruit salad and veggies, charcuterie and more - on their well-deserved lunch break. 🥪

(We love that we were able to support so many amazing local businesses this week! Shoutout to Bubbles & Bows for making the balloon bouquet you see at the door, too!)
