This page is strictly to pass information along to parents about the annual AI Root Middle School 8th grade Washington DC trip. The trip which is for 8th Graders only is scheduled to take place on November 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2022. More information will be posted here in order to keep parents up to date on the trip and when payment is due. This will be the same information that will be emailed home to parents. The page will also be a place to go to get updates during the trip!

Yesterday we enjoyed a great breakfast to get us started, followed by Mount Vernon, boxed lunch meal, Arlington where 4 Root students presented a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Kennedy Gravesites, Iwo Jima and a first for Root Middle-Pentagon Memorial. Later in the day we visited Vietnam, Lincoln, WWII, and Korean memorials. It was a jam packed day and so successful. After that the kids and staff got to unwind at Funland.

Today is Gettysburg on our way home to the 330.

Great day yesterday….White House, MLK, FDR, Jefferson, Holocaust, Washington monument…weather was awesome! Kids have been great!

Today we see mt Vernon, Arlington, Vietnam, Korean, Iwo Jima and pentagon. Then we unwind at Funland! Thanks for trusting us with your precious cargo!
