Our cheerleaders and senior football players showed off their freestyle dancing skills this morning at the Grade School!
They didnโ€™t know the song to be played and had to improv a dance for the grade school kids to follow along to! They all did so good!

It's a LADY INDIAN VOLLEYBALL kind of day around here!! Our high school varsity and JV teams head to South Barber this afternoon to compete against the South Barber Chieftains and the Chaparral Roadrunners. The JV girls will play at 5 p.m. and approx. 7 p.m., and the varsity girls will play at approx. 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Our MLJH girls start their season off today with matches at Cheney. The A and B teams, consisting of 7th and 8th grade members, will face teams from Cheney and Colwich. Their matches begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be played in the Cheney Middle School gym.

You could see the excitement in our junior high gals as they anxiously await the start of their 2026 SEASON OF WINNING!!

IT WAS A GREAT OPENING DAY for our junior high and high school Cross Country runners who were able to participate!! Our team members traveled to Pretty Prairie early this morning, leaving at 6:45 a.m.๐Ÿ˜ณ, so they could run their races before our toasty Kansas heat set in for the day. Mrs. Kami Hahn obviously had our runners ready to go for this first meet since they all came home with medals!!! Here are the results from this morning's races:

High School 5 K run - GIRLS Madisyn Day - 2nd place
BOYS Jaxon Baird - 3rd
Miguel Hernandez - 4th
Kendall Hall - 5th

3-0....WAY TO GO!! YOUR VARSITY LADY INDIAN VOLLEYBALL GALS earned a clean sweep of matches on the court at Caldwell yesterday. The ladies racked up VICTORIES over Belle Plaine, Caldwell, and Chaparral.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ The JV gals were in action at Chaparral, but they had a rough start to their season, losing to both Belle Plaine and Chaparral. They have been hit by some injuries already in the season, but we know they will persevere and keep working hard to EARN WINS ON THE COURT!! Both teams travel to Kiowa tomorrow evening to take on the South Barber Chieftains and the Chaparral Roadrunners. LET'S GO, LADY INDIANS!!!

It's been a HOT ONE THIS SUMMER, so these very talented MLHS INDIAN swimmers were fine with being in the pool everyday for swim team practice through the months of June and July:)๐ŸŠ Our ML Swim Team prevailed once again this summer and remained the THE CHAMPIONS OF THE TRITON SWIM LEAGUE FOR THE 11TH YEAR IN A ROW...MIGHTY IMPRESSIVE!! Several of our USD #254 students earned the coveted "SWIMMER OF THE YEAR" award for their outstanding performances in various races, which earned them the highest number of total points for swimmers in their age category throughout their season. Their AMAZING COACHES, Jodi Swayden and Denise Shinliver Marsh, are very successful graduates of MLHS, but we won't mention their graduation years.๐ŸคฃWe are PROUD TO CALL THEM ALL ML INDIANS!!
