NEW STUDENTS TO USD 254:
(For students that did not end the year with USD 254) Please fill out the "Pre-enrollment Form" shared at the bottom of this post. This will begin the process.

RETURNING STUDENTS TO USD 254:
An email with enrollment information will be sent on or after August 4th. Information will also be posted on the website and sent out via Parentsquare with instructions.

If your email has changed, please email Tammy Lonker at [email protected] to get it updated.

Must be filled out for each student NEW (or one returning from another district or homeschool) to USD #254

Last night the USD 254 School Board approved Andrea Fisher as the Principal at MLGS to begin in August of 2022. In case you did not know, Andrea was born and raised in Medicine Lodge. Andrea and her husband John moved back to Medicine Lodge along with their three boys, Luke, Kirk, and Jake eleven years ago. For the last six years, Andrea has worked at MLGS as a Title teacher supporting students in 3rd-6th grade in reading and math. Before moving back to Medicine Lodge, Andrea spent eighteen years as a teacher and administrator in the Hutchinson school district. Her experiences there as well as her recent involvement as a co-pilot in Apollo Redesign prepared her well for this position.

Andrea's faith and her family are the most important things in her world. She strives to be an encourager to others, helping in any way she can. Leading in the school that impacted her growing up is one of those opportunities. Some of the things she is most excited about are working with amazing MLGS staff members, getting to know all of the MLGS students and families, and continuing the momentum of redesign to "empower our students to be brave, curious, kind, and excited for their future." A long-term goal would be for Medicine Lodge Grade School to become recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.
