Student mental health, test scores are key factors in Medical Lake School Board race In the aftermath of two wildfires that leveled hundreds of homes and displaced dozens of families, those elected to the Medical Lake School Board in November will face challenges surrounding student enrollment and support.

Hi! Welcome to my page. My name is Ron Cooper and I am proud to be currently serving on the Medical Lake School Board. I have been on the School Board since 2006 and have been a part of the Medical Lake community since 1965. My wife, two sons, eldest granddaughter, along with myself are all graduates of ML, and this Fall I will have 2 more grandchildren attending Hallett Elementary. As you can see, I am very invested in the success of Medical Lake School District.

Prior to serving on the Board, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Education from EWU and enjoyed teaching and spending time with kids in the classroom. That, as well as my other experiences within the District, make me a uniquely qualified candidate for this position.

I’ve been excited to be a part of the District and strongly believe in their motto of “Every Student, Every Day” and would love the honor of continuing to serve on the Board to be able to advocate for the success of all students. I am proud that our test scores remain strong, graduation rates remain high, and that our District continues to be fiscally sound.
